The next XVG? Microcap 100x potential actually supported by fundamentals!

What’s up team? I have a hot one for you. XVG returned 12 million percent in 2017 and this one reminds me a lot of it. Here’s why:
Mimblewimble is like Blu-Ray compared to CD-ROM in terms of its ability to compress data on a blockchain. The current BTC chain is 277gb and its capacity is limited because every time you spend a coin, each node needs to validate its history back to when it was mined (this is how double spending is prevented). Mimblewimble is different - all transactions in a block are aggregated and netted out in one giant CoinJoin, and only the current spending needs to be verified. This means that dramatically more transactions can fit into a smaller space, increasing throughput and lowering fees while still retaining the full proof of work game theory of Bitcoin. These blockchains are small enough to run a full node on a cheap smartphone, which enhances the decentralization and censorship resistance of the network.
The biggest benefit, though, is that all transactions are private - the blockchain doesn’t reveal amounts or addresses except to the actual wallet owner. Unlike earlier decoy-based approaches that bloat the chain and can still be data mined (XMR), Mimblewimble leaves no trace in the blockchain, instead storing only the present state of coin ownership.
The first two Mimblewimble coins, Grin and Beam, launched to great fanfare in 2019, quickly reaching over $100m in market cap (since settled down to $22m and $26m respectively). They are good projects but grin has infinite supply and huge never-decreasing emission, and Beam is a corporate moneygrab whose founding investors are counting on you buying for their ROI.
ZEC is valued at $568m today, despite the facts that only 1% of transactions are actually shielded, it has a trusted setup, and generating a confidential transaction takes ~60 seconds on a powerful PC. XMR is a great project but it’s valued at $1.2b (so no 100x) and it uses CryptoNote, which is 2014 tech that relies on a decoy-based approach that could be vulnerable to more powerful computers in the future. Mimblewimble is just a better way to approach privacy because there is simply no data recorded in the blockchain for companies to surveil.
Privacy is not just for darknet markets, porn, money launderers and terrorists. In many countries it’s dangerous to be wealthy, and there are all kinds of problems with having your spending data be out there publicly and permanently for all to see. Namely, companies like Amazon are patenting approaches to identify people with their crypto addresses, “for law enforcement” but also so that, just like credit cards, your spending data can be used to target ads. (A) Coinbase is selling user data to the DEA, IRS, FBI, Secret Service, and who knows who else? (B) What about insurance companies raising your premiums or canceling your policy because they see you buying (legal) cannabis? If your business operates using transparent cryptocurrency, competitors can data mine your customer and supply chain data, and employees can see how much everyone else gets paid. I could go on, but the idea of “I have nothing to hide, so what do I care about privacy?” will increasingly ring hollow as people realize that this money printing will have to be paid by massive tax increases AND that those taxes will be directly debited from their “Central Bank Digital Currency” wallets.
100% privacy for all transactions also eliminates one HUGE problem that people aren’t aware of yet, but they will be: fungibility. Fungibility means that each coin is indistinguishable from any other, just like paper cash. Why is this important? Because of the ever-expanding reach of AML/KYC/KYT (Anti-Money Laundering / Know Your Customer / Know Your Transaction) as regulators cramp down on crypto and banks take over, increasingly coins become “tainted” in various ways. For example, if you withdraw coins to a mixing service like Wasabi or Samourai, you may find your account blocked. (C) The next obvious step is that if you receive coins that these chainalysis services don’t like for whatever reason, you will be completely innocent yet forced to prove that you didn’t know that the coins you bought were up to no good in a past life. 3 days ago, $100k of USDC was frozen. (D) Even smaller coins like LTC now have this problem, because “Chinese Drug Kingpins” used them. (E) I believe that censorable money that can be blocked/frozen isn’t really “your money”.
Epic Cash is a 100% volunteer community project (like XVG and XMR) that had a fair launch in September last year with no ICO and no premine. There are very few projects like this, and it’s a key ingredient in Verge’s success (still at $110m market cap today despite being down 97% since the bubble peak) and why it’s still around. It has a small but super passionate community of “Freemen” who are united by a belief in the sound money economics of Bitcoin Standard emission (21m supply limit and ever-decreasing inflation) and the importance of privacy.
I am super bullish on this coin for the following reasons:
Because it doesn’t have a huge marketing budget in a sea of VC-funded shitcoins, it is as-yet undiscovered, which is why it’s so cheap. There are only 4 Mimblewimble-based currencies on the market: MWC at $162m, BEAM at $26m, GRIN at $22m, and EPIC at $0.4m. This is not financial advice and as always, do your own research, but I’ve been buying this gem for months and will continue to.
This one ticks all the boxes for me, the only real problem is that it’s hard to buy much without causing a huge green candle. Alt season is coming, and coins like this are how your neighbor Chad got his Lambo back in 2017. For 2021, McLaren is a better choice and be sure to pay cash so that it doesn’t get repossessed like Chad!

Drakon is world best exchange

Hey guys, as we know that from couple of some year people trying to bring all their investing money and goods to the Internet world.traders and investor, investor, buyer, and seller now his idea to invest, buy and sell online. People adopt the crypto currency, when bitcoin pumps in 2017. Since the introduction of bitcoin, cryptos have received considerable media attention worldwide, fuelled by the sharp appreciation of major cryptocurrencies like bitcoin compared to regular currencies, and the fluctuations therein, the close links they have with the shadow economy. Now every company have an idea to release their own token.some countries has also release their crypto coins. So many crypto exchanges has been discovered where people can trade and exchange their coins. But still there is some drawback in these exchange like slow transaction system, not secure at all, high fee. So today i am introducing you a very great decentralized platform called Draken in short DRK which fulfill all the cypto exchange requirement with their great features.
Introduction to DRK: DRK is world best decentralized system which combines all previous blockchain technology to one place by using a separate protocol retaining the key element of DEX. The main goal of the DRK platform is to provide secure system, low fee, fast transaction system and to combine all dex technology to one place (drakon group system.
Why DRK? As we know that decentralize system is one of the beat system in block chain with its some enhanced features but still needed some attention because External Factors,High Cost of operation, Problems of Coordination Are some disadvantages which need some improvement. So DRK decentralized system bring some advance feature to fulfill all these drawbacks.DRK has low fee, very high performance to allow thousand of transactions in seconds, cross chain and experience control. These feature allow investor to invest freely without any risk trading. These are some advantage this why i refer every online investor to invest secure in DRK.
Some advance featurea of Drakon: Low Fee: Every single trader want that he trade with no or little fee.but fee of the exchanges is so high.and very worst point is that you have yo pay fee in eth or btc which is so hard for users if they have only one token reward.here is some fee margin of big exchanges Bybit TAKER 0.075% MAKER -0.025% WITHDRAWAL 0.0005
Kucoin TAKER 0.10% MAKER 0.10% WITHDRAWAL 0.0004 btc
Binance TAKER 0.10% MAKER 0.10% WITHDRAWAL 0.0004 B
Fee of DRK Dex is almost nothing.you to pay only exchange fee of the coin which you want to trade it. DRK decided to prioritize user interest,as a result fee fee will be minimized.in this way maintain system great.
Transaction limit. Transaction speed of etherium network is very slow as it can only process 15-20 transaction/second. DRK provided facilities that every second 1 thousand transaction can be processed instant with DRK chain mainnet.
Cross chain: Almost all dex platform chooses etherium network but etherium network list only exist token. DRK have a modern own protocol which communication it with other block chain ,there every new token can be added here.
These are the main features which used by DRK platform to grow community great.
DRK Gaming: This is big entertainment for user,DRK provided a gaming zone for user name DrakinX where user make lot of money by just gaming. Gaming system is so good, there are two type of option 1: manual 2: AI trading There are 4 type of coin which you can stake 1: DRK. 2: ETH 3: dBtc 4: vbtc In " manual " you have a 20 second to buy+50+100 + 1000 or + 5000 and then an aero will go upward for leverege and will be busted at any leverage x,as you can see in picture.

PZMCash became the 17th cryptocurrency to be integrated into the ivendPay payment system

PZMCash became the 17th cryptocurrency to be integrated into the ivendPay payment system
PZMCash became the 17th cryptocurrency to be integrated into the ivendPay payment system

The ivendPay company (Ivendpay OÜ, Estonia), the developer of the cryptocurrency payment service of the same name, announced the integration of PZM Cash. Our coin (PZMC) became the 17th coin that will be available in the payment service around the world. PZMC holders will be able to use a coin to pay for goods and services after they install the issuer's online wallet.

The key difference between our PZMCash concept and the “classic” PoS lies in the mechanism of ensuring the network with monetary supply. Our team refrained from a full emission approach when generating the first block. Only 1% of the total number of coins will be distributed when the network is launched using pre-mining. The remaining coins will be issued during PoS mining as incentive payments to loyal PZM Cash holders for supporting the network.

ivendPay is now the only payment solution that does not require users to add additional cryptocurrency terminals or purchase system tokens. Activating and using ivendPay is very simple: the seller needs to add a cryptocurrency payment system, and the buyer just needs to put his smartphone with a crypto wallet on the terminal. The ivendPay system integrates BTC, BCH, ETH, BNB, and others. The seller can make all of them or any of them available for payment.

Our team considers East Asia one of the priority regions for promoting the coin. In the same region, the commercial use of the ivendPay payment system began in 2019. Hong Kong vending networks were the first to connect to ivendPay. All vending machines and payment terminals connected to ivendPay are added to the world map, which is available on the company's website. The ivendPay payment service is one of the partners of the Binance cryptocurrency exchange, supporting BNB as a means of payment, and is the official Wordline partner in the development of payment applications.

ExtStock exchange is doing a live exit scam right now

ExtStock exchange is doing a live exit scam right now
Hello,
I got contacted by a friend that deposited money to the unknown exchange "ExtStock" He saw that exchange on Coinmarketcap and others website, pretending having best volume and liquidity.
ExtStock is announing fake volume, and Bitcoin price is 500-600$ higher than others platform.
The situation is that since some weeks, every users has theirs funds locked in the exchange. The support is talking about a "suspect activity", then no answer. They are just buying time.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5238319.0 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3049906.msg54360039#msg54360039
I suspect them running a fractional reserve, probably because of a hack, an exit scam, or a bad investment with their customers funds?
But the fact is that they have locked funds and are still tweeting like if everything is normal.
I twitted about the situation to warm users about the exchange: https://twitter.com/anth0mk/status/1255923160643403776 but ExtStock blocked me.

I contacted some projects and platform to stop them supporting Extstock, like the LISK project.

Please, beware of platforms listed on Coinmarketcap, and others website: a lot of website are paid to list ExtStock between Kraken, coinbase and binance...

Ferrum Network Community Update — December 8, 2019

Dear Community,
What an exciting and jammed pack few weeks it has been — with the launch of staking, the 2Key Network partnership, and a major Kudi update — to name a few!
But as the profile of Ferrum continues to grow, it is essential we never stray from the fundamentals that got us this far: hard work, transparency, and a commitment to community.
In this community update, we provide a recap of the last few weeks, and look ahead to a few initiatives we are planning.
Business Update
With the release of the FRM Flexible Staking platform, we took that opportunity to kick the marketing into high gear. These marketing efforts paid off, and we were fortunate to be picked up by top influencers like Teh Moonwalker, Oddgems, and Micro Cap Gems. Here’s what happened the past few weeks.
Tech Update
For those who missed the Tech Update from our CEO Naiem Yeganeh, PhD, here are some highlights:
First Kudi Update
The First Kudi team on the ground in Nigeria continues to make significant progress.
What’s Next
It is critical we capitalize on the attention we have garnered from the team and community efforts, and to start 2020 with a bang. Here are some of the upcoming initiatives we are working on.
Flexible ERC-20 Staking v0.2
We are strongly considering launching another round of staking. We are taking the lessons learned from the first round and improving the experience. Community feedback will be key to make version two even better, so expect to see a series of polls in the coming days.
A Trading Community
A strong group of FRM traders who post technical analysis on social media is great for exposure and great for liquidity. We are currently laying the groundwork to build a trading community to come up with initiatives like trading competitions and special trading rewards. Anyone interested in joining such a community should PM Ian on Telegram.
FRM on Kudi
We have been working hard to add FRM and ETH to the Kudi app so our users can buy it directly with Naira. This will also open up additional utilities for the FRM token, including a premium membership program that will reward users for holding the token and using the app. More details to follow.
Expansion into other Markets
As you may know, one part of our business model is to partner with top notch teams in emerging markets where our fiat gateway + payments app technology can be successful.
We are happy to report that we have started to work with such a team in Brazil and they are in the early stages of launching their own product powered by Ferrum Network. More news to follow.
Conclusion
Thank you all for your continued support of Ferrum Network. 2019 was a really special year that we will never forget. But together we can make 2020 even better!
Very truly yours,
The Ferrum Network Team

New York/Beijing, November 4, 2019 — PCHAIN, a multi-chain system with built-in
support for EVM making large-scale blockchains possible, and Ferrum Network, a high-
speed interoperability network for real-world financial applications, have announced a
partnership to expand global reach and increase utility of their token ecosystems.
PCHAIN is the world’s first native multi-chain system supporting EVM, with original
PDBFT algorithm, unified knowledge graph and a smart data oracle mechanism. PCHAIN
is committed to support non-native token smart contract calls and improving blockchain
performance. PCHAIN makes large-scale industrial applications of blockchain smart
contracts possible.

Ferrum Network is a high-speed interoperability network that enables the management,
transaction and exchange of any digital asset without taking custody of those assets.
Built on a DAG (Directed-Acyclic Graph), Ferrum is faster, less costly and more scalable
than traditional blockchains. Ferrum’s high-speed interoperability network supports
financial applications such as a fiat gateway and an advanced non-custodial
cryptocurrency wallet designed to empower millions of people around the world.
PCHAIN’s strong presence in China, live main net, and membership in the Binance Chain
network of projects aligns perfectly with Ferrum Network’s plans to expand into new
markets, launch a Chinese version of its non-custodial UniFyre Wallet, and demonstrate
commitment to the Binance Chain/DEX ecosystem.
PCHAIN and Ferrum’s UniFyre Wallet
UniFyre Wallet is a non-custodial wallet that will enable risk-free OTC trades that eliminate
the need for middlemen like escrow agents. With UniFyre’s risk-free OTC feature, users
will be able to exchange PI over-the-counter for any other asset in using Ferrum’s
advanced OTC function.
PCHAIN and Ferrum Network’s Interoperability Protocol
Ferrum Network’s is developing an interoperability protocol that can connect to any
blockchain, allowing users to exchange and transact any asset in milliseconds for near-
zero fees.
By integrating with Ferrum’s interoperability network, PI tokens will easily accessible
within the UniFyre Wallet (non-custodial wallet with advanced features like risk-free OTC
trading), Infinity DEX (high speed cross-chain DEX) and Sub-Zero Wallet (ultra secure
cold storage app).
This integration will unlock value for the PI token, increase utility for the FRM token, and
introduce a high-quality digital asset into the Ferrum Network ecosystem.
PChain and Ferrum Network’s Chinese Expansion
Leveraging their strong presence in China, PCHAIN will assist Ferrum Network’s
expansion into this crucial market as Ferrum launches a Chinese version of the UniFyre
Wallet and its other products. And by hosting the PI token, UniFyre Wallet will be able to
reach millions of additional users.
“We look forward to working with PCHAIN as we continue expand into the Asian markets,
said Ian M. Friend, Esq., Co-Founder of Ferrum Network.
“Ferrum Network is the kind of project that PCHAIN likes to support —one with useful
products that can provide real benefits to our users. We are excited to bring this
partnership for the benefit of our community,” said Dr. Jeff Cao, PhD, Founder of PCHAIN.

Weekly Update — August 30, 2019

Dear Community,
After another exciting week at Ferrum, with the official listing of FRM on Binance DEX, enormous growth on the Social Mining platform in terms of users and quality content, we now invite you “under the hood” of this past week.
Ferrum Network Business Update
To start off, let’s shed some light on the business/marketing/operations side of Ferrum. Within the cryptocurrency space, a day feels like more than 24 hours and time zones are nonexistent. The constant demand for positive news can be challenging, especially in a down market. Nevertheless we remain focused on achieving our goals.
Exchanges
First, the Binance DEX listing on the 26th of August which means FRM tokens issued as BEP-2 tokens can be traded against BNB. We are proud to have achieved this less than a month after our ICO and foresee positive cooperation with Binance in the future.
Our next goal is to list on a 3rd exchange to truly match the current demand for trading options and liquidity. While the listing is confirmed, we are strategizing about the right moment to announce and list.
Social Mining
This industry can feel like a game of chess at times, make the wrong move and suddenly have an entire army of opponents lined up ready to strike. But make the right move, those opponents can change sides and join your team. All analogies aside, we keep a close ear to what our beloved community is saying and do as much as we can to meet and exceed their expectations.
As we’ve seen immense growth on our Social Mining platform, we are delighted to find that our community has been increasingly supporting us. We are nearing 2000 users on the platform and see the content improving every single day. Given the fact that we have 11 months of Social Mining left (with extension likely), it’s exciting to think of what lies ahead.
Ferrum Network Technical Update
We’d like to provide a technical update on he backend of Ferrum and the products within our ecosystem. In particular, we’ve seen demand for additional utility for the FRM token, and we have listened.
Staking Mechanism Preview
We’ve decided to release the staking mechanism that was originally meant for the UniFyre wallet ahead of schedule. Development that was originally planned to be start mid-September is now being actively worked on and progress has been made. Significantly, we wrote a smart contract with the possibility of flexible staking schemes on top of the Ethereum blockchain.
On the front end of the new staking mechanism, we’ll be releasing a straightforward web-based user interface similar to the Token Bridge so people can easily stake their FRM. Although a full featured staking mechanism will be available within the UniFyre Wallet, we’ve decided to release the staking mechanism early to meet current demand.
Token Bridge is Now Live in Both Directions
In addition, our Token Bridge can now swap BEP-2 tokens to ERC-20 tokens in both directions! This allows users to possess FRM in any form desired. Prefer to trade BNB against FRM on Binance Dex? BEP-2 tokens are your friend and you can swap the ERC-20 tokens as you please. If you prefer to trade on Bitmax.io or want to use your tokens for Social Mining, you can swap to ERC-20 token with ease.
We wanted to develop a token bridge that was easy as filling in a simple form and pressing a few buttons. Since many new projects currently follow the same structure of having multiple token-forms, token bridges will become more and more important. We take pride in creating a user-friendly option that can be customized for any project. As further means for increasing FRM utility, we are now actively exploring the idea of partnering with other projects interested in our token bridge.
Kudi Update
As the first product within the Ferrum Network, Kudi is our foothold on the ground. As most of our activities are focused on creating solid techniques and revolutionizing the way we see the financial system, an actual physical product on the ground is our way of creating real-world use cases for our network and utility for the token. The Kudi team has been working extremely hard ever since the launch of the product. While the product is available for both personal use and commercial use, recently the team has been working to increase awareness of Kudi.
Kudi Events and Partners
One way of creating that awareness is partnering up with the Bogobiri Hotel, where we will be hosting three nights of activities filled with arts, music and activities for the hotel’s guests. At the same time, we’ll be inviting potential customers and clients. Those who’ll use the Kudi Exchange when purchasing their tickets will receive a discount, thereby promoting the actual use of the application. Working with hotels was a conscious decision because Kudi’s features, such as instant money transfers, appeal directly to international travelers.
The presence during events across Nigeria is crucial to stimulating the brands’ awareness and user base. In order to stimulate this growth even more, Kudi has partnered with UNWIND Lagos. UNWIND is focusing on young professionals that are eager to be introduced to new techniques during the many networking events hosted by UNWIND. The true meaning and potential of this partnership has yet to be discovered, but it’s a fact that Kudi will be exposed to many possible clients!
In addition to creating more awareness, the developers have been working on upgrading the Kudi app. A lot will be offered with the new upgrade, including the reduction of fees and an exciting new feature that will truly turn your Kudi app into your own personal bank…
What’s Next for Kudi
The entire month of September is filled with networking events such as the previously mentioned Bogobiri Hotel event, The New Atlantic Trade Fair and a networking event in partnership with the Bombastic Lounge. These are all focused on user growth as we continue to improve the app itself.

https://preview.redd.it/8i39ua7fzuj31.png?width=986&format=png&auto=webp&s=ec8676d902d69c51c6beaaf7360de67a048d4219

In addition, the Kudi update is around the corner, which will offer new features and a new look and feel. The team is actively onboarding new customers every single day, while the product itself is developing and improving every single day.
Conclusion
It has been an extremely productive and exciting week. We are happy see more and more activity within our communities. In the near future we’ll be reaching out to local communities to arrange some AMA’s; we’ll be more active on media like Reddit, 4Chan and Bitcointalk to share Ferrum with each and everyone in this industry. We are building something unique, something worth sharing. We can do the building and sharing, but we can’t do it alone.
Join us today on the road to reach each and every goal we have set for ourselves, to the point where we set new goals and run even harder than we have been already!
Very truly yours,
Ferrum Network Team
P.S. from Ian — I want to thank the author of this update, Freek Caron, the leader of our Dutch community and top Social Miner. I think you’ll agree he did an excellent job!

If you'd like to take part click here https://gleam.io/MwMtO/komodos-20-infographic-contest-5000-kmd-grand-prize and share this post with your friends.

Your Goals

  • Create a high-quality infographic that illustrates the genesis of our platform, the working tech that has been created and how Komodo has been built differently, and deliberately, from the very beginning to ensure security, scalability and interoperability. This is why we refer to the architecture, because Komodo was designed to overcome common problems like congestion, governance and attacks that other platforms did not foresee or prevent, from the beginning. This is Komodo DNA.
  • Share your submission far and wide and encourage your friends and followers to vote for you.
  • Encourage feedback, ask questions and make your infographic the best that it can be.

Our Criteria to Judge

Please note that upvotes and shares are not the only criteria we'll use to judge winners. While useful, we will value creativity, good questions and discussion on Reddit highly. When sharing your posts you will score more highly if people comment, provide feedback and are engaged.
  • How well the infographic conveys our working tech, it's core concepts and plans to build on top of it.
  • How well the infographic illustrates our story, purpose and conveys our tech so that it's easy to understand.
  • Constructive discussion, questions and feedback on Reddit that lead to improvement.
  • Sentiment and comments generated across all our social media. This will not include vanity metrics like likes or shares.
  • Upvotes on Reddit for the author's submission post ONLY. All votes will be counted (i.e. doesn't matter which week they were made).
  • Retweets of the submission in our master thread ONLY. Include your handle and a cover image in your submission. This means if you promote yourself on Twitter you ought to promote the tweet with your work in it.

How do you win?

You may submit up to two infographics. By submitting an infographic, you understand Komodo may post and use your submissions on our digital channels during and after the contest. Each infographic must have it's own post.
  • Create a post on Komodo's subreddit using the 'infographic contest' flair.
  • Add the infographic image into the Reddit post.
  • Include your Twitter handle.
  • Include a social media friendly cover image for us to use when we tweet your submission out.
  • Post a link to your submission post here in the comments for all to see.

Contest Timeline Guide (these dates indicative and are subject to change).

  • 7th September. Announcement. If you're reading this on Reddit before the big announcement then well done! You have two extra days before this is announced on Friday.
  • 10th - 21st September. Research and Questions. We will promote the contest, invite questions and requests for resources, in the comments of this master Reddit post (because this means all information and good questions will be visible to all participants).
  • 22nd September. Draft Submissions. Creatives to submit their draft infographics on Reddit. All submissions need to have their own post and then be linked to in the comments of this master post. This is important to remember!
  • 24th - 30th September. Feedback. A period of one week will be devoted to promoting the submissions and asking the community and team to give you feedback.
  • 1st October. Final Submissions.
  • 2nd - 8th October. Voting. A week of promoting your work and at the end we'll count votes, consider feedback and pick our winners.
  • 15th October. Winners Declared. The final decision by judges. Votes and community feedback counts towards judging but do not have final say.

25/09/18 - First Round of Feedback

Infographics should use graphical design elements to visually represent the Komodo Architecture Story found here: https://komodoplatform.com/komodo-platform-a-brief-overview/ included in our ‘required reading’. There’s also a bullet point aid: https://medium.com/@benohanlon/bullet-point-aid-to-help-you-the-history-of-komodos-architecture-dced35b29965 you may find useful.
  • We want to stress that the infographic ought to focus on the Architecture story. In the first round we've found many have focused on the five pillars which is a part of it but not the focus.
  • Copy should be short and concise and not dominate the infographic. The idea is to simplify the story and not to copy and paste directly from the story.
  • Colour Palette - avoid heavy usage of the old KMD green and yellow-orange. Would prefer usage of the interim KMD colour palette.
  • Recommended fonts: Montseratt, Roboto, Open Sans, Helvetica, or Arial.
  • Graphical - Imagery should complement the associated copy. Diagrams are encouraged in place of simple icons to explain more complex technology concepts.
  • Interim KMD colour palette
Interim KMD Colour Palette
If you’ve not been included in the first round it’s because the submission hadn’t been made when the team reviewed. Don’t worry though because we’re organising hangouts and further feedback to help.
  • #001 Infographic Link // Reddit Post Link by thesudio. There’s a lot of good points made, however, these would work better if there is a clear narrative and flow to the information being presented. Otherwise, it can be overwhelming and confusing to the reader. The #1 objective is to visually depict the architecture story and how KMD is redefining blockchain platform architecture.
  • #002 Infographic Link // Reddit Post Link by thesudio. We like that there is a clear structure and clear messaging aligned to each of the 5 pillars. However, the infographic should be focused on telling the architecture story vs the pillars.
  • #003 Infographic Link // Reddit Post Link by VolsenVols. Love how you’ve incorporated our existing graphic design elements into the infographic. This is heading in the right direction and the level of copy and content are well balanced. It would be nice to align this closer to the architecture story and to expand on the different layers of our technology using the same style.
  • #004 Infographic Link // Reddit Post Link by dexter_laabo. Needs to tell the architecture story. This looks more like it took information from our current website. “Anonymous” is not a key aspect of our technology that we’re focusing on.
  • #005 Infographic Link // Reddit Post Link by savandra. The visuals are strong but the narrative could be stronger. It would be nice to align this closer to the architecture story and to expand on the different layers of our technology using the same style.
  • #006 Infographic Link // Reddit Post Link by VolsenVols. Team prefers the other submission style in entry #003.
  • #007 Infographic Link // Reddit Post Link by cryptol1. Doesn’t depict the architecture narrative. Inaccurately describes cross-chain tech as “proprietary”. Simplification has the wrong messaging associated, should be white-label focused. This is considered more of a graphics versus an infographic. Needs to be more comprehensive.
  • #008 Infographic Link // Reddit Post Link by pacosenda. We like the unique design style and approach taken. Doesn’t follow the architecture narrative. Should be expanded out as it is a bit short on content with no clear flow or narrative.
  • #009 Infographic Link // Reddit Post Link by jeanetteLine. Great level of detail and thought on the layout and content. Doesn’t, however, cover the architecture story. Would be preferred if the design direction reflects interim colour and style vs. legacy KMD. The roadmap should be avoided. Looks like they borrowed more from the website than the guidelines.
  • #010 Infographic Link // Reddit Post Link by Meyse. Very creative way to explain and layout the content. This could be expanded out more to encompass the entire architecture story. Cross-chain verifications/smart contracts, blockchain bridging need to be incorporated in.
  • #011 Infographic Link // Reddit Post Link by Brenny431. Follows the 5 pillars versus the architecture story. Would prefer stronger visuals and design elements.
  • #012 Infographic Link // Reddit Post Link by ProofDraw. Design elements are good but need to follow architecture story versus 5 pillars.
  • #013 Infographic Link // Reddit Post Link by sayonara_girl. Needs to follow the architecture story.
  • #014 Infographic Link // Reddit Post Link by Limiter02. Good thought has gone into the copy, however, there’s way too much of it. Would prefer stronger visuals and utilizing a more visual storytelling approach. Doesn’t follow the architecture story. Remove the lizard.
  • #015 Infographic Link // Reddit Post Link by piptothemoon. Great thought into visually representing key points. Needs to be expanded out to incorporate the architecture story, but this is heading in the right direction from a visual storytelling POV.
  • #016 Infographic Link // Reddit Post Link by thecryptofoundation. Love the timeline approach, and mostly followed the guidelines and architecture story. Also, like the incorporation of accomplishments at the end. Would like to get the stock imagery used to reflect our interim colour palette. Not all visuals match what is being represented in the copy.
  • #017 Infographic Link // Reddit Post Link by jsteneros. As discussed in the Zoom call, this graphic is really solid but a little heavy on the copy. Would be good to see more visualizations of the info. This graphic hits on some of the important messages (e.g. Komodo is built differently from other blockchain platforms and solves many of the issues that first-gen platforms are struggling with) but it would be great if there was more information about Komodo’s architecture and how Komodo is different from other platforms.
  • #018 Infographic Link // Reddit Post Link by gravigocrypto. This one was also discussed in the Zoom call. Outstanding visuals and overall design. The info follows the architecture story well but could be stronger if the 3 layers of Komodo’s architecture were tied together into one, coherent visual. It’s a challenging task but that’s part of the contest : )
  • #019 Infographic Link // Reddit Post Link by PacoSenda. This is a really creative infographic, which is great! However, we’d really like to see the visuals a bit more in line with fonts and color palette described above in the “First Round of Feedback” section. Also, as with the feedback for many of the infographic submissions, sticking to the Komodo architecture story would be best.
  • #020 Infographic Link // Reddit Post Link by emmanmalaman. The visuals are pretty cool but this one misses most of our core messaging. It would be much stronger if it followed the architecture story and touched on the info provided in this post. There’s definitely potential here but it needs some work.
  • #021 Infographic Link // Reddit Post Link by immimidada. The colors and visuals here are spot-on. It’s also really great that it sets up the problem and then presents the Komodo solution. However, the problem and solution aren’t defined exactly the way we’d like. Check out the architecture narrative to learn more, and try to follow that story a bit more closely.
  • #022 Infographic Link // Reddit Post Link by mohitgfx3. This one is a bit heavy on the KMD logos. We’re really hoping to see a visualization of Komodo’s infrastructure architecture. As with the feedback for many of the infographics, it would be best to re-read Komodo’s architecture story and try to stick to that as much as possible. Using images from the current website is also not a great approach, as we’re preparing to launch a new site in the coming months.
  • #023 Infographic Link // Reddit Post Link by u/sayonara_girl. Some of the visuals are cool! It’s missing the narrative we’re looking for. In general, less copy and more visual storytelling would improve this graphic a lot. We’d like to see a smooth, linear flow of information. Take another look at the architecture story and try to follow that narrative.
  • #024 Infographic Link // Reddit Post Link by brunopugens. This one follows the narrative well! But it’s a little heavy on the copy. It would be much stronger if the architecture was displayed visually, rather than explained with text. Also, the design is cool but it’s difficult to read b/c the perspective of the text is skewed. It’s a really cool idea but might be better to put the text flat for the sake of readability and clarity.

We hosted a round of live feedback sessions via Zoom. The recording is here:

Near $1B are currently on the move from a Silkroad related wallet

Near $1B are currently on the move from a Silkroad related wallet
It seems that the owner of a huge #SilkRoad related wallet is moving funds actively since 3 days, dividing it in chunks of 100 coins by subwallets.
The original wallet owned 111,114.62 $BTC / $BCH , which is currently valuated ~ $844M (without taking in account other #Bitcoin forks).
Last movements on these subwallets are 4 years and 5 months old (March 9th, 2014).
The chunks have been divided over time to 60,000 coins then to 30,000 / 20,000 / 10,000 / 5,000 / 500 and now 100 coins.
#Bitcoin: https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/address/1KyJr2L6CN5XhDfv9Sb5q3kjKwFCrRxTLy/transactions
#BitcoinCash: https://www.blocktrail.com/BCC/address/1KyJr2L6CN5XhDfv9Sb5q3kjKwFCrRxTLy/transactions
Does the owner intend selling it on the market soon?

Update 1
For those who asked, the original wallet (1933phfhK3ZgFQNLGSDXvqCn32k2buXY8a) seems to be related to a SilkRoad address per this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=310600.0.
So it's most probably a wallet owned linked to DPR / SilkRoad. Note that this address is still active with 5 transactions executed in 2018 and 13 in 2017, with really small amount of BTC received/sent.
However, I ran some checks and it does not seem to be linked to the DPR seized coins wallet (1FfmbHfnpaZjKFvyi1okTjJJusN455paPH, there's only a 0.001 BTC link between the 2 addresses), so either the FBI did not sold them yet (last auction was in November 2015) or someone else (linked or not to SilkRoad) has access to it .
Finally, if it's not a SilkRoad related wallet the other options are, by descending probability order:
a) a MtGox cold wallet that has been seized or is still owned by MtGox: in fact the wallet funds moved in March 2014 right after MtGox filed for bankruptcy one month earlier in February 2014; these movements dates are really similar to the 200,000 lost coins "found" by Karpeles which moved March 7th, 2014 (1dda0f8827518ce4d1d824bf7600f75ec7e199774a090a947c58a65ab63552e3), just 2 days before the movements on the wallet we are talking about here.
b) a whale wallet since the major part of the 111,111 coins are coming from a very old deposit of 37,421 coins processed on June 21st, 2011 making this an early adopter's wallet (70d46f768b73e50440e41977eb13ab25826137a8d34486958c7d55c5931c6081)

Update 2
This amount of $1B in bitcoins that MtGox is going to return to customers looks pretty familiar, it could match the 111,114-coin wallets we are investigating here: https://btcmanager.com/mt-gox-preparing-return-1b-stolen-bitcoin-affected-users/.
But the methodology of transfer does not match in my opinion, it looks that the owner tries to hide the movements by mixing the coins.

Innovative ITO mode ITO Platform Currency Distribution Method
ITO (Initial Trust Offering) includes three important aspects: fundraising, Token distribution, and fund return. The ITO model is open and transparent and 80% of the funds raised will be returned to the user and can be verified. This model allows the project side and the user to reach a consensus, which is a good solution to the problem of mutual trust.
1. ITO — Introduction
The core Bitcoin concept is based on the building of consensus between a project party and the decentralized investor community. The transaction status and the amount of money held are necessarily open and transparent. Bitcoin earnings are owned simultaneously by long-term holders and the community. Thus, the success or failure of a project depends on their ability to reach consensus. Failure to do so can result from a wrong choice of ICO versus IEO tokens. Or it might be a lack of transparency by the project side in its use of funds raised. This can lead to loss of community trust and ultimately confrontation.
The Bitroom team believes in Bitcoin. In order to reach a consensus between a project and the community, Bitroom has innovatively createdå the Model of Initial Trust Offering (ITO).
Under the ITO model, the project party publicly and transparently raises funds from the community on the blockchain. The project party then announces a fundraising address and a Token distribution address, with all funds raised sent to that address.
Token distributions are all transferred through the same distribution address, Fundraising is carried out on the blockchain, Each transaction and the number of positions at each address can be publicly queried. After fundraising is completed, the project party will return 80% of the money to the community as income. This operation is likewise visible on the blockchain. Each return is visible on the blockchain, as is each return operation. The remaining 20% of the funds raised will be used to support the project to move forward.
It can be seen that each step of the ITO model is open and transparent and that each move by the project party and the community, both, is well documented in the blockchain, thus enhancing mutual trust. After the platform closes, the project side will return 80% of funds raised to the community, with the remaining 20% to be used by the project side for promoting project development. ITO is a great innovation, with real capacity to bring about consensus between the project side and the community.
Bitroom's platform currency will be distributed in the form of ITO.

NavCoin Community News & Social Media

Proposal Draft v1.0

Please note that this proposal has not been submitted to the blockchain yet. I want to leave this post open for a few days so that community members can have their say on my plan and the requested amount before the proposal is submitted.
---------
This proposal is to continue the current format of regular articles and social posts that has been ongoing as part of NavCoin's marketing material. Laura is no longer writing the social content for NavCoin, so until a better solution is found I will be taking over writing this content.

Overview

Publish 2 news articles per month. The first week of the month I collaborate with salmonskinroll who organises the monthly Community Roundtable to turn his notes into an article and publish it to all our channels. Then two weeks later I write and publish the monthly newsletter which is just after the monthly Developer Roundtable and will be more focused on development progress, exchange listings, wallet integrations etc.

Monthly Cycle

Tasks Performed

Proletesseract
On the first and second week of the month I will write and publish the following content;
Every week I will make sure our social channels have a minimum amount of activity;
Salmonskinroll

Services

MailChimp (USD$75.00/month)
Currently sending weekly email to 5,692 subscribers, plan allows u to 10,000 subscribers.
Canva (USD$119.40/year)
Used to design the social post imagery and article hero image.
Buffer (USD$144.00/year)
Used to queue up the social posts and automatically post them over the week during peak read periods of the major timezones.

Monthly Cost Summary

2 hours - Gathering roundtable topics & writing the notes
4 hours - Writing and publishing Roundtable Digest
6 hours - Writing and publishing Monthly Newsletter
16 hours (4 hours per week) - Writing and scheduling social posts
Total: 28 hours * NZD $50/hour = NZD $1,400
+ $96.95 USD per month for the paid subscription services.
Total Monthly Cost: $1554.98 NZD or 9,000 NAV per month at current market rate.

Total Proposal Cost

This proposal is for 3 months, so the total cost would be 27,000 NAV.
If this amount is too high for the community fund reserves, another way could be to setup donation addresses in BTC & NAV and fund it entirely or partially on donations.
It only amounts to 0.1 BTC per month to keep the roundtables, news & social media running at this level which i think is necessary to ensure NavCoin doesn't fade further into obscurity.

Day 9: I will post this guide regularly until available solutions like SegWit, order batching, and Lightning payment channels are mass adopted, the mempool is empty once again, and tx fees are low. Have you done your part?

BACKGROUND
Segregated Witness (SegWit) was activated on the Bitcoin network August 24 2017 as a soft fork that is backward compatible with previous bitcoin transactions (Understanding Segregated Witness). Since that time wallets and exchanges have been slow to deploy SegWit, and the majority of users have not made the switch themselves.
On Dec 18 2017 Subhan Nadeem has pointed out that: If every transaction in the Bitcoin network was a SegWit transaction today, blocks would contain up to 8,000 transactions, and the 138,000 unconfirmed transaction backlog would disappear instantly. Transaction fees would be almost non-existent once again.
Mass SegWit use alone could empty the mempool, result in blocks that are not completely full, and make it possible to include transactions with $0 fee once again.
On Jan 11 2018 when BTC sends went offline at Coinbase the mempool began to rapidly empty. Later in the day when service was restored there was a sharp spike up in the mempool. Subsequently, that afternoon Brian Armstrong finally had to break his silence on the topic and admitted Coinbase is working on SegWit but has still not deployed it. It appears that this is an important data point that indicates if just a few major exchanges would deploy SegWit the high fees bitcoin is experiencing would be eliminated.
SegWit is just one technique available to exchanges and users to reduce pressure on the Bitcoin network. You can make the switch to SegWit on your next transaction, and pressure exchanges to deploy SegWit NOW along with other actions that will reduce their transaction impact on the network. You can help by taking one or more of the action steps below.
ACTION STEPS
  1. If your favorite wallet has not yet implemented SegWit, kindly ask them to do so immediately. If your wallet is not committed to implementing SegWit fast, speak out online any way you can and turn up the pressure. In the meantime start using a wallet that has already implemented SegWit.
  2. If your favorite exchange has not yet implemented SegWit, try to avoid making any further purchases of bitcoin at that exchange and politely inform them that if they do not enable SegWit within 30-days they will lose your business. Sign-up for an account at a SegWit deployed/ready exchange now and initiate the verification process so you'll be ready to bail
  3. Help educate newcomers to bitcoin about the transaction issue, steer them towards SegWit wallets from day one, and encourage them to avoid ever purchasing bitcoin through non-SegWit ready exchanges that are harming bitcoin.
  4. Spread the word! Contact individuals, websites, etc that use bitcoin, explain the benefits of SegWit to everyone, and request they make the switch. Use social media to point out the benefits of SegWit adoption.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The mempool is currently still quite backlogged. If you are a long-term holder and really have no reason to move your bitcoins at this time, wait until the mempool starts to clear and transaction fees go down before moving your bitcoins to a SegWit address or SegWit friendly exchange.
BEYOND SEGWIT - BATCHING, PAYMENT CHANNELS, LIGHTNING
Batching is another great way that exchanges can reduce their fees. See: Saving up to 80% on Bitcoin transaction fees by batching payments. Despite the benefits of batching, some exchanges have been slow to implement it. Users should demand this or walk.
Beyond SegWit & Batching, Lightning Network integration will have even more effect. Lightning is now active and exchanges could setup payment channels between each other so that on-chain transactions need not take place. Some ideas have to outline how that might work are here: Google Doc - Lightning Exchanges. Which two bitcoin exchanges will be the first to establish a lightning channel between themselves and offer free/instant transfers between them for their customers? This will happen in 2018

FAQs
If I'm a HODLer, will it help to send my BTC to a SegWit address now?
No, just get ready now so that your NEXT transaction will be to a SegWit wallet. Avoid burdening the network with any unnecessary transactions for now.
Why is SegWit adoption going so slowly? Is it a time-consuming process, is there risk involved, is it laziness, or something else?
SegWit will require some extra work to be done right and securely. Also, most exchanges let the user pay the fee, and up to now users have not been overly concerned about fees so for some exchanges it hasn't been a priority.
Once Segwit is FULLY adopted, what do we see the fees/transaction times going to?
Times stay the same - fees will go down. How much and for how long depends on what the demand for transactions will be at that time.
What determines bitcoin transaction fees, to begin with?
Fees are charged per byte of data and are bid up by users. Miners will typically include the transaction with the highest fee/byte first.
Can you please tell me how to move my bitcoins to SegWit address in Bitcoin core wallet? Does the sender or receiver matter?
The Bitcoin core wallet does not yet have a GUI for its SegWit functionality. Download the latest version of Electrum to generate a SegWit address.
A transaction between two SegWit addresses is a SegWit transaction.
A transaction sent from a SegWit address to a non-SegWit address is a SegWit transaction.
A transaction sent from a non-SegWit address to a SegWit address is NOT a SegWit transaction. You can send a SegWit Tx if the sending address is a SegWit address.
Source: HowToToken
What wallet are you using to "batch your sends"? And how can I do that?
Using Electrum, the "Tools" menu option: "Pay to many".
Just enter your receive addresses and the amounts for each, and you can send multiple transactions for nearly the price of one.
Why doesn't the Core Wallet yet support SegWit?
The Core Wallet supports SegWit, but its GUI doesn't. The next update will likely have GUI support built-in
Why isn't a large exchange like Coinbase SegWit ready & deployed when much smaller exchanges already are? Why do they default to high fees? Where is the leadership there?
Draw your own conclusions based on their own words:
March 2016 - Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has reservations about Core
Dec 2017 - Coinbase is STILL working on Segwit
P2SH/bech32 FAQs
What are the two SegWit address formats and why do they exist?
It's been a challenge for wallet developers to implement SegWit in a way that users can easily and without too much disruption migrate from legacy to SegWit addresses. The first wallets to enable SegWit addresses – Ledger, Trezor, Core, GreenAddress – use so-called “nested P2SH addresses.” This means they take the existing Pay 2 Script Hash address – starting with a “3” – and put a SegWit address into it. This enables a high grade of compatibility to exist wallets as every wallet is familiar with these addresses, but it is a workaround which results in SegWit transactions needing around 10 percent more space than they otherwise would.
Electrum 3.0 was the first wallet to use bech32 addresses instead of nested p2sh addresses.
Source: BTCManager.com
What is the difference in address format between SegWit address formats P2SH and bech32?
P2SH starts with "3..."
bech32 starts with "bc1..."
Which addresses can I send from/to?
P2SH Segwit addresses can be sent to using older Bitcoin software with no Segwit support. This supports backward compatibility
bech32 can only be sent to from newer Bitcoin software that support bech32. Ex: Electrum
Source: BitcoinTalk.org
Why did ThePirateBay put up two Bitcoin donation addresses on their frontpage, one bech32 and one not?
The address starting with a "3..." is a P2SH SegWit address that can be sent BTC from any bitcoin address including a legacy address. The address starting with a "bc1..." is a bech32 SegWit address that can only be sent to from newer wallets that support bech32.

The best Tezos Wallets

The best Tezos Wallets
Tezos is a decentralized blockchain that simplifies formal verification, a method that mathematically proves the accuracy of the code controlling transactions. The Tezos blockchain has its own cryptocurrency called Tezos (XTZ), a cryptocurrency with two main functions – a self-administration system and the ability to form launch contracts using its own programming language – Michelson.
If you decide to convert your fiat savings into Tezos or exchange other cryptocurrencies for XTZ, you may have to make a choice among reliable wallets for this. In this article we will look into the best Tezos Wallets so that can help you understand them better.

Hardware Wallets

Hardware wallets are not liable to spam, viruses, phishing attacks, or malicious of the system. Moreover, they provide a high degree of protection to the private keys. Below is the list of hardware wallets that can be used for XTZ.
https://preview.redd.it/j79t9vbgeth31.jpg?width=800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d828387479fc4a2efed4fc857eb9bdf03f9878e9
  • Ledger Nano S

Trezor hardware case is ultrasonically soldered, making it difficult to be restored after being damaged.

Web Wallets

Tezos has mentioned the wallet on its website and has been audited by an independent external security inspector. As the Tezos CLI needs some level of command line knowledge, it can be quite difficult to use.

How to keep your wallet safe

A cryptocurrency wallet can be regarded as a regular wallet with money, but it has advanced features, which increases the level of risk. Simple rules will help prevent the loss of your own savings:
  1. Do not store large amounts for long periods on wallets that do not provide full control. It is better to store large amounts for a long time only in wallets that provide full control over the private key and, accordingly, over digital assets. This will help protect your coins against fraud and cyber attacks.
  2. Encrypt information and back up private keys. In case of reinstalling the PC or the occurrence of force majeure situations, this will help to restore access to the wallet quickly.
  3. Store secret keys on an offline device. It is preferable to use a platform that is not accessible for hacking via the Internet.
  4. Use reliable antivirus software and update it regularly. This will prevent the leakage of personal data that hackers can use to crack passwords.
  5. Register several types of wallets. It will allow you to distribute your funds and use the most suitable wallet depending on the situation.
If you use your Tezos wallet wisely and do not neglect the precautions, the risk of funds loss will be minimized.

Day 7: I will post this guide regularly until available solutions like SegWit & order batching are mass adopted, the mempool is empty once again, and tx fees are low. Do you want low tx fees, because this is how you get low tx fees

TL/DR
Bitcoin users can help lower transaction fees and improve bitcoin by switching to SegWit addresses and encourage wallets/exchanges to do the same.
SUMMARY
Segregated Witness (SegWit) was activated on the Bitcoin network August 24 2017 as a soft fork that is backward compatible with previous bitcoin transactions (Understanding Segregated Witness). Since that time wallets and exchanges have been slow to deploy SegWit, some admitting in December 2017 that they have not even started work on integrating it. Others, such as Zebpay in India have already implemented SegWit and are reaping the benefits of reduced transaction fees. If bitcoin users demand SegWit now it will temporarily relieve the transaction backlog while more even more advanced solutions such as Lightning are developed.
Batching is another great way that exchanges can reduce their fees. See: Saving up to 80% on Bitcoin transaction fees by batching payments. Despite the benefits of batching, some exchanges have been slow to implement it.
There is an opportunity now for all bitcoin users to individually contribute to help strengthen and improve the bitcoin protocol. At this point, the process requires a bit of work/learning on the part of the user, but in doing so you'll actually be advancing bitcoin and leaving what could turn out to be a multi-generational legacy for humanity.
MEMPOOL/SEGWIT STATISTICS
BACKGROUND
On Dec 18 Subhan Nadeem has pointed out that:
If every transaction in the Bitcoin network was a SegWit transaction today, blocks would contain up to 8,000 transactions, and the 138,000 unconfirmed transaction backlog would disappear instantly. Transaction fees would be almost non-existent once again.
A few thousand bitcoin users from /Bitcoin switching to making their next transactions SegWit transactions will help take pressure off the network now, and together we can encourage exchanges/wallets to rapidly deploy SegWit for everyone ASAP. Let's make 80%+ SegWit happen fast. You can help by taking one or more of the action steps below.
ACTION STEPS
  1. If your favorite wallet has not yet implemented SegWit, kindly ask them to do so immediately.
Conact individuals, websites, etc that use bitcoin, explain the benefits of SegWit to everyone, and request they make the switch

FAQs
If I'm a HODLer, will it help to send my BTC to a SegWit address now?
  • No, just get ready now so that your NEXT transaction will be to a SegWit wallet. Avoid burdening the network with any unneccessary transactions for now.
Why is SegWit adoption going so slowly? Is it a time-consuming process, is there risk involved, is it laziness, or something else?
  • SegWit will require some extra work to be done right and securely. Also, most exchanges let the user pay the fee, and up to now users have not been overly concerned about fees so for some exchanges it hasn't been a priority.
Once Segwit is FULLY adopted, what do we see the fees/transaction times going to?
  • Times stay the same - fees will go down. How much and for how long depends on what the demand for transactions will be at that time.
What determines bitcoin transaction fees, to begin with?
  • Fees are charged per byte of data and are bid up by users. Miners will typically include the transaction with the highest fee/byte first.
Can you please tell me how to move my bitcoins to SegWit address in Bitcoin core wallet? Does the sender or receiver matter?
  • The Bitcoin core wallet does not yet have a GUI for its SegWit functionality. Download Electrum v3.0.3 to generate a SegWit address.

What wallet are you using to "batch your sends"? And how can I do that?
  • Using Electrum, the "Tools" menu option: "Pay to many".
Just enter your receive addresses and the amounts for each, and you can send multiple transactions for nearly the price of one.
Why doesn't the Core Wallet yet support SegWit?
  • The Core Wallet supports SegWit, but its GUI doesn't. The next update will likely have GUI support built-in
Why isn't a large exchange like Coinbase SegWit ready & deployed when much smaller exchanges already are? Why do they default to high fees? Where is the leadership there?
P2SH/bech32 FAQs
What are the two SegWit address formats and why do they exist?
  • It's been a challenge for wallet developers to implement SegWit in a way that users can easily and without too much disruption migrate from legacy to SegWit addresses. The first wallets to enable SegWit addresses – Ledger, Trezor, Core, GreenAddress – use so-called “nested P2SH addresses.” This means they take the existing Pay 2 Script Hash address – starting with a “3” – and put a SegWit address into it. This enables a high grade of compatibility to existing wallets as every wallet is familiar with these addresses, but it is a workaround which results in SegWit transactions needing around 10 percent more space than they otherwise would.
Electrum 3.0 was the first wallet to use bech32 addresses instead of nested p2sh addresses.

What is the difference in address format between SegWit address formats P2SH and bech32?
  • P2SH starts with "3..."
    bech32 starts with "bc1..."
Which addresses can I send from/to?
  • P2SH Segwit addresses can be sent to using older Bitcoin software with no Segwit support. This supports backwards compatibility
bech32 can only be sent to from newer Bitcoin software that support bech32. Ex: Electrum
    Source: BitcoinTalk.org
Why did ThePirateBay put up two Bitcoin donation addresses on their frontpage, one bech32 and one not?
  • The address starting with a "3..." is a P2SH SegWit address that can be sent BTC from any bitcoin address including a legacy address. The address starting with a "bc1..." is a bech32 SegWit address that can only be sent to from newer wallets that support bech32.
